Inspiration:
I scoured websites and looked at the detail and chose details that I loved. My sister also had a garden theme. I always wanted a wedding that was outdoors which had a vineyard with a long table. It’s amazing how dreams can come true!

Our theme was ‘secret garden vintage.’ Henco and I wanted a ‘fresh’ theme to our wedding that had an element of outdoors, beauty (the natural flower arrangements already there and plants) and also eclectic and beautiful.

Location:
Tea under the Trees- We both loved the beautiful gardens and the little eclectic vintage pieces. The venue also has a vineyard which was another attractive feature.

Dekoration:
The venue was a beautiful tea Garden. Debbie the owner collects antique pieces, so much of the venue was already decorated before we even began. We had photos at the front as guests arrived, interspersed with roses hanging on a washing line, We also had a big old wagon decorated with flowers where guests could put the wedding gifts. The table was one long table, draped with white linen, an eclectic mix of chairs and garden flowers in antique vases. We also had white umbrellas to keep our guests cool under the hot sun. We got married in a gazebo and we had the guests seated in front of the gazebo. The gazebo had antique chandeliers , draped with beautiful pink roses. I also loved the scattered rose petals before the white carpet on the aisle. We also had our menus and day program hand designed.

We hung white bon bons, ribbons and lacy doilies in the trees. We gave our guests a pre wedding snack in cones with pre wedding pictures of Henco and I printed on the paper. We also gave them ginger beer and pink lemonade in bottles embossed with our names and the date of our wedding.

Henco made and designed a gorgeous sign post with “Melbourne-10, 320 kms Wellington, 10kms which also told guests where the food and ceremony was. It was an absolute hit!

Hochzeitplanungsgeheimnis:
The secret is to start with the venue and choose a theme. Then everything falls into place. Also, good planning is essential, start early and keep a folder of everything. Also keep receipts and try and go on word of mouth recommendations wherever possible. If you hire a professional team your wedding is certain to be a success. Also, let family help out where they can and relax.

Erwähnenswerte Details:
I loved the antique dresser we used as a dessert buffet!

Resümee:
Walking down the aisle was the best part of my day. I remember holding my dad’s hand and feeling his emotions. The most significant moment was holding my husband’s hand and standing next to him, and listening to the strains of Gabriel’s Oboe. Also I really enjoyed the beautiful cheese, bread and fruit table-it was amazing!
